HighSpeed Pascal
HighSpeed Pascal
HighSpeed Pascal by D-House/Christen Fihl was also known as Maxon Pascal in the German speaking countries.
HS Pascal from 1990 was very much based on Turbo Pascal for the pc. Which is no surprise because of the huge popularity of Turbo Pascal in that time, but also Christen Fihl had worked for Borland as a programmer for amongst others the Borland inline Assembler BASM for Turbo Pascal, Delphi and C.
The beauty of HS Pascal compared to PurePascal is the GEM compatible IDE, HIDE. It is very stable and works in all resolutions and on multitasking. Pure Pascal on the other hand is a bit faster.
Pressing the HELP key anywhere in the sourcecode opens a help window. It is keyword sensitive and has short code examples.
HS Pascal has libraries for GEM. These units are called GemDecl, GemAES and GemVDI.
The German magazine STComputer published many listings for HS/Maxon Pascal.
